The last two months have been too busy. I’m still on my relentless track to get in 200 sprint equivalent triathlons this year. With four a week, I have eight to spare this year. God willing, I will end up around 206. On one hand, such a steady effort goal has helped my focus on health and moderation (!). On the other hand, it’s been a huge commitment. You might want to consider other goals.
Lately, it’s been prayer, workout, work, rest and working on a new project to offer others. My writing has been on the back burner.
And now, it’s Fall. It’s time to seasonally adjust workouts. Once your “season/goal” is over, change your routines some so as not to get stale or injured. I’ve changed my running routes. I’m varying my swims. Winding down the outdoor cycling and lowering my bike seat a little because my flexibility has lessened a little. Still stretching and lifting with a “what’s wrong or right today” mentality towards each muscle, limb or joint.
It’s a pleasure noticing new things. It’s wisdom.
Keep moving. Your own get up and go brings about health.
